Several of our clinical psychologists and speech and language therapists have experience of working closely with solicitors who have expertise in supporting parents through the process of educational tribunal to appeal against EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) decisions.
This involves undertaking an in-depth report of the child or young person in conjunction with the family and school/college. This can also include psychometric testing and building a profile of how the child or young person is impacted by their neurodivergence, along with clear recommendations for Section B and Section F of their EHCP. Having an in-depth report can often be enough to help families challenge Local Education Authorities. However, if appeal does go to tribunal our clinicians can attend court to give evidence in person.
